Jenny Royle, BMusHons(Uni Melb); Grad Dip Ed (Music)

Jenny enjoys teaching students of all ages, including early years and adult learners, with over 20 years experience in music education. She has taught and directed music programs at primary, secondary and tertiary level, and is committed to making music fun for all students. Jenny is passionate about teaching students to be creative and imaginative, above all else. She loves to combine learning piano through play and composition to support individual learning styles and development. Emphasis on the individual is key to her teaching style, with flexibility to tailor programs to suit each learner, making sure that technique, skills and musicality remain in focus. Her teaching includes developing the whole musician, with music fundamentals such as rhythm, music reading and aural awareness underpinning all learning. Jenny has extensive experience in preparing students for exams, concerts and performances, including AMEB exams in practical and theory, VCE and accompanying.

Training and Tuition

We support the highest possible standards in music teaching built by comprehensive programs and delivered by experienced teachers with 10+ years in the profession. All our lessons are delivered by university trained teachers with high levels of specialist knowledge (Grade 8 AMEB standard or above) and professional music teacher qualifications. Our philosophy is that all students deserve the best possible teaching, including those who are starting out on their music journey. Learning with  correct technique from the start, along with comprehensive musical development, is a priority. We believe that highly qualified teachers can provide the best foundation for lifelong love for music.

We offer a range of packages, suited to all learners. Our introductory starter packages cater for those who are interested in making a fun start, introducing some of the first learning basics for those who want to kick start their musical journey. For those who need to review or extend their skills, we offer a refresher course to help you move to the next stage. Many students remain in the program term by term to achieve their personal musical goals, including preparation for exams and performances!
